Safety and support
Your safety matters to us.
We want everyone to feel safe and supported.
At NEEDA Care, safety comes first – for participants, support workers and families.
We work hard to make sure every support session is safe, respectful and right for you.
How we keep you and our workers safe
Safe and trusted workers
We check all our support workers before they join NEEDA Care:
- We check their ID (who they are)
- They pass a police check
- They pass the NDIS Worker Screening
- They finish safety training
- They know first aid (how to help in an emergency)
We keep checking regularly to make sure workers stay safe to support you.
Keeping you safe every day
We ask everyone to follow simple safety steps:
- Stop, Think, Plan – Before support starts, make sure the space is safe.
- Infection control – Wash hands, wear masks if needed, and keep things clean.
- Safe lifting – Use the right tools and help when moving people or things.
Speak up if something's wrong
If something goes wrong – or doesn’t feel right – you can tell us.
- Incidents – If someone gets hurt or something unsafe happens, report it within 24 hours.
- Concerns – If you feel worried about anything, tell us. No concern is too small.
- How to tell us – Fill out a form on our website or contact us directly.
